The 2009 Forest own Track League will run from 13th April to 14th September under British Cycling Regulations. This year we will be racing on Monday evenings with racing starting at 7pm. If weather dosn't allow racing on Monday (check veloriders for a weather decision) then we will race on Wednesday evening instead.
The outdoor track at Forest Town, just outside Mansfield is was 100 years old last year. It is a tarmac track which unlike most tracks which have two corners and two straights this track which runs around a football pitch, has four gently cambered corners and four straights. As the camber is gentle it is a good track for novices and provides somewhat exciting racing for the faster rider!
